Have Heart
Have Heart is doing their farewell tour this summer and today it stops in San Francisco. Sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it to the show. Besides not going to the show, it makes me sad that a band like Have Heart is breaking up. Have Heart is everything you want in a hardcore band; positive message, intense, and real. Have Heart is band that in 10 or 20 years people will still be talking about. Have Heart will be missed very much by the hardcore community. Hopefully in a couple of years they'll decide to do a reunion tour.

Hot Water Music & Alkaline Trio
Hot Water Music and Alkaline Trio a couple years ago released a split on Jade Tree records. In my opinion this is probably the best split ever released by any two bands. All the songs here are awesome. Hot Water Music covered some Alkaline Trio songs and vice versa. I think Hot Water Music songs on this split are my favorite. Their covers of "Radio" and "Bleeder" are even better then Alkaline Trio versions, that's just my opinion.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I feel sorry for little kids these days. They don't have any cool cartoons to watch, like people my age had when we were kids. These kids have TMNT, which can't even be compared to the awesomeness of the original turtles. My favorite turtle growing up was Raphael, because like the picture says "cool but crude". As I got older I felt like I related more to Raphael then any other of the turtles. I feel like I need to say this: TURTLE POWER!!!!!

The Stone Roses
The Stone Roses are one of the most underrated band in the world. Maybe, because they only released two albums. Their first album entitled "The Stone Roses" is being re-released. The album contains some amazing tracks like: I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs The Drum, I Am The Resurrection, and This Is The One which was heard in the film Eagle Vs. Shark. The album has gained lot of praise from fans and music critics. In 2005 ranked the album number 78 (should've been ranked higher then 78) in the 100 greatest albums of the last 20 years and in 2006 NME declared the album greatest British album of all time. Do yourself a favor and check out The Stone Roses.

The Wizard (1989)

Last night I stayed up till 5:30am to watch The Wizard. I probably hadn't seen this movie in over ten years so it was nice to watch something from my childhood. The Wizard is about a kid named Jimmy Woods who is a quite video game prodigy, who along with his brother Corey and a girl named Haley played by a young Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley fame travel to LA to play in Video Armageddon (a Nintendo tournament). In December this movie will be twenty years old and just to see how far video games have come from this is in a way mind boggling. I'm really not a big fan of video games anymore, but I'm always been a big fan of Nintendo and Super Nintendo. So a movie about Nintendo was really cool to see again. We need more movies made about the original Nintendo and Super Nintendo.
